Portfolio Manager/Investment Analyst - Private Credit - Credit/Analytics - NYC

Focus of the role will be to build and grow the private markets portfolio with the MD and CIO of the strategy.  In this role the VP level candidate will lead strategy, design and implementation of the funds’ Emerging Markets Private investments. Responsibilities will include co-sourcing, modeling and underwriting opportunities in funds, co-investments and direct deals, creating investment policies, preparing investment memorandums and actively monitoring and managing existing portfolio.



Lead design and development of investment policy statement, objectives and procedures for private investments including private equity, real estate and private credit.
Develop asset allocation as it relates to sub-asset classes within private investments
Establish portfolio guidelines, appropriate limits/constraints, commitment pacing, due diligence framework, valuation policies and performance evaluation metrics
Lead due-diligence, financial analysis and modeling for new investments in funds, co-investments and direct deals
Participate in annual meetings, advisory boards, management presentations and other diligence sessions
Monitor investment performance, conduct valuation analysis and actively manage the existing portfolio including possible liquidation events
Prepare written proposals for new and existing Investments
Network with other plan sponsors and review industry trends to identify and monitor top investment managers/funds

A minimum of 7-10 years of experience with at least 3 years in private markets portfolios and INTEREST IN EMERGING MARKETS
Advanced Degree in Math, Statistics, engineering or quantitative discipline and/or CFA
Familiarity with leading managers, fund structures, investment processes, operations and compliance protocols
foundation in manager research, selection and monitoring, and experience with execution through primaries, secondaries, and co-investment vehicles
An ability to think critically with solid applied quantitative financial modeling skills.
Ability to travel as required (including outside the United States) for investment due diligence, manager monitoring and attending industry conferences.
