General Description:

Responsible for assisting the Consumer Compliance Officer with the monitoring of the Bank's Consumer Compliance Management System. Requires working knowledge of relevant federal and state consumer protection laws and regulations, and ability to interact with retail branch personnel and various business lines managers offering products to consumers. Duties will include monitoring activities identified by the Bank's Consumer Compliance Management System and working with management to ensure that all essential consumer protection laws and regulations are adhered to uniformly throughout the Bank. Tracks remediation of noted exceptions relating to Consumer Compliance monitoring. Limited interaction with federal and state regulators regarding consumer compliance examinations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Continuously review and create, where necessary, internal reports to support monitoring of risks indentified in the Consumer Compliance Management Program ("CCMP") for individual business lines, products and services.

2. Be aware of relevant state and federal consumer laws and regulation changes, including changes to guidances and interpretations and assist the Head of Control Testing to update/change internal monitoring test plans accordingly.

3. Prepare monthly analyses of all required monitoring reports for the Acting Chief Compliance Officer and, where relevant, suggest enhancements and/or changes to increase knowledge of the risk being monitored.

4. Assist Consumer Compliance Officer with monitoring and reviewing marketing programs and disclosures.

5. Assist with conducting branch compliance assessments with regard to applicable consumer protection laws and regulations, including ensuring all relevant documentation and work product is maintained appropriately, and report such findings to the Acting CCO, the Consumer Compliance Officer, Senior Branch Administration, District Managers and track required remediation.

6. Lead the Compliance HMDA monitoring including being responsible for assessing the applicability of reporting loans originated and purchased. Lead HMDA monitoring group and prepare quarterly reports relating to HMDA quality control.

7. Assist with monitoring, tracking and responding to both internal audit and regulatory examinations and findings ("MRAs" and "MRBAs") .

8. Assist monitoring and tracking of consumer complaints and creating relevant metrics related thereto.

10. Participate in regular continuing education to stay abreast of new laws, regulations and regulatory focus to enhance job performance.

11. Attend Compliance Management Committee meetings as requested

Participate in management meetings as requested by the CCO to address consumer compliance issues

Skills, Education and Experienc:

Bachelor Degree required. 3 or more years experience with consumer compliance protection laws and regulations. CRCM or other industry designation is a plus but not required. Retail banking experience helpful. Strong verbal and written skills required. Knowledge of Excel a must
