Security Master / Asset Servicing - Associate Director

The firm  is seeking an individual to work as an Asset Servicing Operations Associate/ Associate Director within its Operations division. This team provides investment operational support to various Funds, Separately Managed Accounts and Portfolio companies managed by the firm, a leading global alternative asset management company. Functional responsibilities will include end to end operational support for Asset Servicing events including event detection, monitoring, and processing. The environment is fast paced.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for task distribution and assisting junior team members with queries
  • Responsible for daily reconciliation of cash, position, and accruals
  • Processing notices received for events related to paydowns, interest, coupons, delayed draws, revolvers, PIK, cashless rolls
  • Applying back dated coupon/factor updates
  • Working closely with Middle Office to tie out funds monthly
  • Working closely with Security Master/Pricing team to set up new securities/symbols
  • Monitoring and booking restructures, bridge/commitment fees, and interest defaults
  • Working on ad-hoc desk requests regarding investments (new/current/closed)

Requirements and Experience:


  • Undergraduate Degree with over 5 years of relevant experience
  • GPA 3.0 and above
  • Product knowledge exposure:
    • Bank Debt/Term Loans/Revolvers/Delayed Draws
    • Commercial Real Estate
    • Public Funds
    • Corporate Bonds
    • Credit Default Swaps
    • Foreign Exchange (FX)
    • Equity/Options (listed and otc)
  • Strong knowledge of finance (P&L/NAV/etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvements
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; proficiency in VBA is a plus
  • Experience with VPM, Everest and Markit Loan Platform a plus
  • Project management experience is a plus
