Our client is a s a multi-billion dollar investment manager specializing in credit-related investments. Currently they are hiring a Credit focus trader assistant to focus on Front office support for traders and PMs.

Position Overview
This fund is seeking Trader Assistant candidates for their LA location. This individual will work directly with traders and provide trading and operational support on various funds, separately managed accounts, and other strategies managedby the fund. Responsibilities will include ensuring accuracy of end-to-end management of trade bookings, trade confirmation, trade settlement, and overall trade life cycle support. The environment is fast-paced and requires exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. This position will offer a high level of responsibility and engagement with all aspects of the firm for a motivated professional.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the daily life of a trade of all traded securities across all of the funds and separately managed accounts
- Coordinate with traders, portfolio managers, operations, and compliance to ensure all trades are booked and processed through close partnership of all of firm investment mandates
- Respond to any trade and cash related questions from service providers and internal trade desks
- Monitor daily position reconciliations and control reports for any position related differences to ensure accuracy of internal reporting, portfolio management system, and the order management system
- Enhance the existing trade allocation processes and cultivate improvements to current trading and portfolio management systems
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the position
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of relevant experience supporting a fixed income trade desk
- Strong working knowledge of fixed income products including corporate bonds, syndicated and private debt, revolver and delayed draw loans, repos, structured credit (ABS, CMBS, RMBS, TBAs), options, and derivatives (CDX, CMBX, CDS)
- Experience with Bloomberg; knowledge of EZE OMS is a plus
- Strong Excel skills are highly preferred, while VBA, Python, and other programming skills are a plus
